Will spring ever reach NE?!

Can't believe we're two days into April, and there's still patches of snow on the ground! Sure makes a person feel cooped up--and unambitious. I really should begin my spring cleaning rituals, but it's difficult when all you want to do is cozy on the couch and watch movies on dumpy days.

My DS, (6), is feeling the urge to get moving too. You can just tell all the kids are, really! He came home from school yesterday all wet from sliding down the playground slide without his snowpants on (who wants to wear those in April anyway!) right into a small water puddle at the bottom. He was sure anxious to change when he got home, but no way would he admit that he should have had those pesky snowpants on.

To all of you posters, hope the weather is warm and bright where you are! Pass it my way!

Hi! :-)

I am assuming that you live in Nebraska due to the fact that you used "NE" in your topic title. I used to live in Nebraska City, Nebraska and Lincoln, Nebraska.  :-)

Lucky you that you live in Nebraska! You get to eat Runzas, Valentino's Pizza, and go and watch the Nebraska Cornhuskers play football.  :-)

"Go Big Red!"  :-)

My oldest son lives in Omaha and his weather sounds a lot better than yours.  I wonder if you're on the western side of the state.  (Or he's trying to make me feel jealous that his weather is already warmed up)

About cookbookmom

I love trying new recipes--in fact, I've made a "rule" that I try at least one new recipe each week (helps justify to my hubby the purchase of all those TOH cookbooks)! My son helps me in the kitchen, which is a blast! And yes, I'm a James Bond addict--have all the movies and watch them repeatedly!
