A Lost Recipe Found!!

I never thought I would cry over a recipe, but I did. My grandmother passed away in 2001, she left me most of her cooking supplies, and I think of her every time I use her mixing bowls. What she didn't leave was her recipe for a dip she used to make for fruit. Nobody seemed to remember just what the ingredients were. Cream cheese, vanilla, but what else? Well recently my mother in-law gave me a recipe for grape salad. I made it and to my amazement it tasted just like the dip! Cream cheese, vanilla, a little sugar, and SOUR CREAM! My mother and sister tried it and agreed, that was the missing ingredient. We all cried!

Here is the recipe,

Grammy's Fruit Dip

1-8oz block cream cheese

1 cup sour cream

1/3 cup sugar

2 tsp. vanilla

Mix together with electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

To make GRAPE SALAD coat 2lbs. each of red and green grapes with this mixture and refrigerate. A half hour before serving sprinkle with brown sugar and chopped walnuts.

Enjoy!

Wow! Thanks so much for the recipe it's wonderful.

We have tones of grape vines and never really able to eat them all. This will help, and what better recipe then Grammys. :)

We Grammys have to stick together. Thanks again.
