Oh my darlin' clementine!

I just wanted share my love of the darling clementine. I bought a box of the petite orange orbs the last time I was at  the grocery store and have been enjoying one each day ever since. Yes, I do love them; let me count the ways:

1) They come in their own natural packaging – a brown-bagger’s delight

2) Almost no seeds to slow you down

3) The peel practically falls off, leaving your hands free of sticky juice

4) Virtually no bitter white pith to sour the sweet treat

5) They are a nutritiously delicious snack (one clementine has more than half the Daily Value for vitamin C!)

Cute entry, Peggy! I have to agree they are lovely and much easier to eat on the run than navel oranges :-).

Also a big fan of clementines.  My kids eat them every day it seems (also bananas).  The best clementines I have ever had were down in the Indian River Valley of Florida but even those from my local grocery store work fine for my family's daily habit.

Interested in trying the cupcake recipe, I'm sure the kids will not have to know it's kind of healthy compared to other cupcakes.....right?

I have only bought one box of these sweet treats this year that have been juicey and flavorful, I haven't enjoyed them half as much this year.  While in England I bought the best I have ever eaten, they were ones imported from Israel, by far the best for flavor and juice.  Which kind are you buying? grown where??? even the Spanish ones aren't that great this year. I live in Massachusetts.

The clementines I bought this year were grown in Spain. My first box was awesome but the second was not as sweet or juicy - it was getting late in the season for clemtentines but I just wasn't ready to give them up!
