Aruba, One Happy Island's Food

On Monday we ate at a quaint restaurant called Madame Janette's.  I had Jumbo Coconut Shrimp in a sweet Thai sauce with rice.  I didn't care for the shrimp dipped in the sauce, but it was excellent stirred into the rice.  We were seated under a gazebo with a ceiling fan.  Most of the dining area is outside with vine covered ceiling with small lights.  The restaurant is located in the middle of a neighborhood. If you are driving from the downtown area of Oranjesta,  turn right at the Black Hog miniature gold course.  Then make another right at Cheng's Supermarket.  Go to the dead end to find Madame Janette's.

About marshaal

I grew up in a small town in Kansas and learned to cook from my Mother. I was standing on a chair and making Snickerdoodles when I could barely reach the countertop. She was a marvelous cook, so I learned from one of the best.
