Toni - I had NO idea of all that was going on but I am glad you directed us to your blog!! I will be thinking of you and I hope you keep us updated. You are a strong lady and I am sure that will carry you through this. And you are not whinney at all. You have every right to talk about what you are thinking. What you are going through takes nothing away from others that are going through a lot. You have your own concerns and they are valid!!

I will continue thinking of you!

IMO, you are not a whiner. I hope all goes well for you. I just saw in a post the other day that you were having this surgery done. Have you had it done before? Is Portland faw away for you?

My hubby had to have it done, too, just a few weeks ago, and he has recovered nicely. His calcium level was so high he had to have the infusion done 2 times. I went with him, and it was also in a room where patients were undergoing chemo, etc. The nurses in there are real pros, and keep things upbeat for the patients as much as possible. I spent my time in there reading magazines, and praying. I will be remembering you in prayer on May 21, for a successful surgery for you. All my best to you! (((Hugs!)))

I think you should post this on the board. You have a right to your feelings, and worries just like everyone else, IMO.

you will be in good hands. As I said before, your doctor wants what is best for you, I wish more doctors were that way. All of us here wish you the very best and we will be thinking of you until you can come back and tell us all about it.

Can't figure out why you got dehydrated either...did you drink it and pee it right out?? That's not meant to be funny either, although it sounds kinda goofy! lol

Have they given you a shot to bring up your re blood count? Plus (chelated) iron supplement?. Oh boy, Toni,

Hope all goes well for you. My friend has a similar problem with low red blood count and she gets Procrit shots, also is dehydrated even with drinking lots of fluids. Go figure! All the best to you. (((Toni)))

Toni, hope things will go a little better this week. I'm sure the stress of worrying about the surgery is not helping things. Being hydrated is a daily thing and you just can't slack off now. Keep those fluids moving. PG
