Just got back from our photo studio and saw the next cover for the July/August issue. I’m not going to let the cat out of the bag just yet, but let me tell you, the food looks fabulous! The cover features just the kind of dish you’ll long for on summer days—think pasta with fresh zucchini, eggplant and summer squash smothered in a hearty tomato sauce—and it’s quick and easy, too. Need I say more?
If you can believe it, we shoot each issue roughly 4-6 months before it hits newsstands, which means we begin planning almost a year in advance in order to get the recipes in and test and taste ‘em. It’s a never-ending process, but such a delicious one!
In the next few weeks, we’ll put the finishing touches on the rest of the July/August issue, too. It’s filled with fresh-for-summer dishes like berry desserts, Fourth of July fare, sizzling grilled entrees, salsas and more. Just thinking about the food makes me hungry!
As if sampling recipes in the Test Kitchen and then watching our photo studio pros prepare them again isn’t great enough, I was recently thrilled by a new change on our Web site, too. Have you seen it?
For years, people have written to say they’d love to see a photo of every recipe. So we made that happen in the magazine. Now our Web site makes finding recipes and their photos a cinch, too. Just type anything—chicken, beef, dessert—into the search field, and from the results page, you can either view the recipes in list or—my favorite—gallery format. I’ll tell you completely unabashedly, I’m a huge fan!
With all of these incredible new features, finding simply delicious recipes is even easier. In fact, I just found a tasty new dish on our Web site, and I’d like to share it with you. Spring Greens with Berries is a classic from Simple & Delicious, and it’s just perfect for a refreshing spring supper.

Enjoy!
