Considering small-group catering

I have been doing baking for Farmer's Markets for several years now and I am known for my baked goods, tasty appetizers and low-fat meals. I have had a number of people tell me I should open a catering business. As the mother of two small children, I don't believe I have the time necessary to fully go into the catering business. However, I do feel capable of providing appetizers or small meals for smaller get-togethers (20 people or less). Does anyone have any advice to help me decide whether to venture into this area, or any suggestions on how to (inexpensively) get started?

About sunrise1965

I am a Stay-At-Home Mother of two. I am also a free-lance journalist/artist/photographer. I love to cook and I enjoy creating art in colored pencil, pastel and mixed media. I love to photograph my family as well as the Nebraska Sandhills and other beautiful areas I see. I try my best to stay fit and I eat healthy, work out with weights whenever possible, walk when I can and geocache with my kids (many caches require a hike to locate them).
