Does anyone know of a copykat recipe for Cracker Barrel's Tartare Sauce? It is so good. They don't sell it there & the store manager wouldn't tell me where they get it from.
I don't know but I'd like to have it too.
I don't have their recipe but here's mine and we like it MUCH better than any restaurant's tartar sauce.
equal parts mayo & salad dressing (2 tbs ea)1 tsp yellow mustard2 tbs finely chopped onion (can use more or less as you desire)2 tbs dill relish, drained1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Mix well and serve with your favorite fish or seafood.
Note: Does not keep well so do not make more than needed, You can also tweak this recipe to fit your families tastes. Like it sweet....use sweet relish instead of dill. Don't like onions?......leave em out....etc.
