Use within 6 months of freezing. Since chicken is extremely prone to freezer burn, the sooner you use it, the better the meat will be.
I don't often get asked to define irony, but when I do, I always say,

I buy boneless/skinless chicken breasts in bulk and rinse, dry then vacuum seal them in bags of 1 or 2 for my wife and I. When I get a really good deal and buy 30 lbs or more, there are times when we have them for 9-12 months in the deep freeze. I wouldn't try doing this without a vacuum sealer or in a regular refrigerator freezer that gets opened a lot. Ours have always been good though and no freezer burn.
