I own a Towncraft cookware set. They vouch for lifetime warranty but it is not. I bought mine in 1988. I have problems with the handles and the cookware covers. The frying pan is falling apart. I couldn't find any representative or store who carries it and having trouble for it to be replaced. I found one rep in my area in 2000 and have the handles replaced. No questions asked and it was faster than expected, but now I would like to have my pan replaced but couldn't find a representative in my area. Aside from that, it really lasts (because they replaced those things that are broken).

Will this 4 YEAR OLD POST  never end?

I know I should not answer and bump it up again but it is hard to resist. 80% of the  time it is brought up again it is done by newcomers who have never posted before.

PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE, newcomers: look at the dates before you answer.

Cast Iron King and I joke about those old posts that will not die. I was not talking about your April post but about the VERY FIRST,  ORIGINAL POST (in this thread) DATED FROM 2008. You have to read the whole thing from the start to understand.

Sorry to wake the old dog up againGeeked

    Woof Woof!!!!

I realize that I have never responded to this thread, actually.  So I figured I would just say--ptooey on TownCraft Cookware!  Why bother?  I have a lovely basic set from BH&G and from everything I've read about cookware in these forums, it does just as good if not better than all the designer matched sets everyone else frets over.  Didn't cost me a fortune and looks real pretty, too!  My cookware is an eclectic mishmash of all kinds of stuff.  I would never rely on one expensive brand to be my "official" cookware.   Just because it boils water nicely doesn't mean it can poach an egg.  I acquire individual pieces that excel in their function.

Do not hesitate!! We just got ours at the beginning of the year and it is BY FAR the best investment ever!! I say investment bc it has a forever guarantee. I absolutely love it. I was skeptical at first after going to a dinner but my husband decided to get it and I am so glad that he did. Make sure you use Barkeepers Friend on it. We take very good care of ours. Make sure you get the electri skillet if you can bc you can cook everything in it and you can also stack cook on it too!!! Its crazy!! My husband decided to start selling it right after we got it. He is a personal trainer so it goes right along with all of his healthy eating tips with his clients..like I said best investment ever.....

I have had my towncraft for 30 years. I want to buy some more. It is the best cookware anywhere in my opinion. At the time I didn't really realize what I was buying but as the years have passed and I have seen other people throw away and buy new cookware I have appreciated mine more and more. Definently worth the money.

You are dead on right about the Cooks Essentials from QVC. The 18/10 stainless steel is by far the best of their products. They are so affordable because they only sell through QVC--hence no other needless advertising expenses we, the consumer, have to cover.

My oldest pan is almost 10 years old and going strong.

Why has this thread suddenly become a dealer's correspondence thread?

You have to ask, Sir Fowl?

It is because all these new people and DEALERS do NOT read the

RUES OF USE:  No Commercial Selling   on the TOH website.

Perhaps we should alert the powers to be???Cool (I am hiding behind my shades)
