I took the BIG step and joined WW this A.M. It's a big step for me.I will need any suggestions from anyone on the points system.I was on WW 16 yrs ago and lost over 60 lbs, but it was the old plan. Wish me luck-I'll need it.

Great news nightowl! The points system seems a bit overwhelming at first, but you learn as you go. I'm on the 9th week now, and I find it really easy and flexible! The main thing is to make healthy choices and not think you are on a diet. It seems I am eating more now than before, but just better stuff.
Good luck.

Way to go!!!!
I have been inspired enough now that I will go back to w.w. on Tues. night. I'm hoping for a ten pound weight loss. Will be watching the board to see how everyone is doing. It will probably help just to know I'm not alone.
Thanks for the encouragement

Good for you! I agree about it being a great program; I lost about 45 pounds 3 years ago. Just remember that it will come off the way it went on - 1 pound at a time!

I'm big on protein!!! I eat egg whites (hard boiled), ff bologna, 2%cheese slices and feel that they help hold me over til the next meal. Also, cereal with loads of fiber is good. I use it for snacks (dry).
Keep posting if you need info and advice.
Gail
Good luck on your journey!!!

RE: WW - I finally did it
great job!!! I was on WW last year and lost 27lbs, here's an idea when you find out your favorite 1 or 2 point snacks bag them up in little zip lock bags and keep them where you can always grab when one you really need a snack.

Thanks for the encouragement, everyone. I have 1 BIG problem, though. We just had a hog butchered and brought it home today. I now have a freezer full of fresh beef and pork! Any good hints on what to fix that won't totally ruin my diet? Angie

You can still eat meat on WW, just watch your portion size and don't fry it.

PatPitter is right! Watch your portions.
And stretch the meat by adding beans, barley and other high fiber fillers. And add zero point veggies!

RE: WW - I finally did it
God Bless you.
I'm 66 years old and have tried every diet out there. I watch Dr.Phil and Oprah, too They have lots of wonderful information.
Dr. Philp has two sayings that I love.
1.You either get it or you don't
2.And how's that working for you?
I have lost 15-20 pounds 15-20 times.
One day he asked a lady--
What part of being thin didn't you like.
That really got my attention.
I joined WW again a week ago and hope and pray to stay motivated.
E-mail me Shirleyferra@aol.com
anytime.
