    1 whole turkey, thawed completely
    Tony Chachere's Injectable marinade
Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning orYour fave seasonings
    -------
Rinse turkey with warm water. Remove giblets & rinse again. Drain cavity well.Inject turkey as directed on lable of Tony's injectable marinade pkg.
Sprinkle turkey inside & out with seasoning.
Be sure to drain all water from turkey & cavity before deep fat frying to prevent hot oil splattering. Deep fry whole turkey in 3-4 gallons of vegetable oil at 325° for 3 1/2 mins. per pound.
This recipe from Mr. Tony himself (or his company) his products are available from www.cajungrocer.com or www.tonychachere.com

It should be label, not lable. There are other typos, too but you can't edit here.

I CAN'T EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH!!!!! BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WHEN DEEP FRYING TURKEY!!!!!!

I GUESS I HAVE SEEN TOO MANY NEWS EVENTS ON TV WHERE THE HOT OIL FLAMED UP, BOILED OVER, AND SPLATTERED PEOPLE, CAUSING 3RD DEGREE BURNS!!!!

SOME PEOPLE HAVE EVEN BEEN BURNED TO DEATH BY DOING THIS!!!!

ALWAYS DO IT OUTSIDE.......IF YOU DO IT AT ALL!!!!

I WOULD HATE TO HEAR OF ANYONE BEING INJURED BY THIS METHOD OF COOKING!!!!

I agree with Bobolink -- be very careful, and place your fryer out in the yard, far away from any structures. I know of at least two house fires caused by the heat from turkey fryers.

Even Guy Feiri (sp) said he burned a big mess in his yard!  LOL!  Wonder if these new ones that don't use oil wouldn't be safer or just as good?  Saw them on QVC a week or so ago - don't have either one!

Big Lots has the oil free ones for $89 right now.  They only hold up to a 16 lb turkey.

I know this is after the fact.......but we used one of the new " oil-less" fryers......the turkey was perfect. My wonderful son cooked it for us, outside, of course, and we really enjoyed it!
