When a cookie receipe lists shortening as an ingredient does it mean Crisco? and solid or liquid?

    False

Shortening is a solid fat.  Crisco is one brand on the market.  The label will specifically say "Vegetable shortening".  What are you baking?  If it has shortening in it I'm guessing it's something yummy!

    False
