Thanks. Real quick, Have been busy cooking for the harvest crew today, several have blown me outta the water. I had planned good hearty meals for supper BUT they said they have to have something they can eat on the road, not a plate meal. I am making hand held apple and peach pies and had a thought. Pasties! Have made them before, But I am wondering can I make up a bunch today and tomorrow and freeze them do I need to bake them before freezing or can I freeze before baking?? Also if I can, do I need to thaw them before reheating?
    Thanks
    Mary

I'm sure you can freeze them, however, they would be a little cold when you wear them for Jim ;-) wink wink

You can make soup if you serve it in disposable heat prrof mugs with a lid.
(they can drink that while driving)
You could even make potato salad with choppd up meat in it rolled into the soft thin flat brea.)Pasties sound good, also pickled hard biled eggs, Chinese dumplings Dum sim (filled dumpings with a bit of sauce dribbled on them) are "finger food". Some hot filling rolled into soft thin tortillas. An egg pancake with chopped apples ( see recipes for German "Eier-Pfannkuchen" or German egg pancakes) dusted with sugar and rolled up makes a good dessert to eat on the run.
