Ok, so there's going to be roughly about 12 or more people at the function.
What size ham would be appropriate, keeping in mind that that's the only meat course being offered.
I would say 6 to 8 ounces per person.
Honeybaked Ham website says a 7 pound ham serves 10 to 14 people. That is the weight with a bone.
Oh. And there are some big eaters in the group. LOL Forgot to mention that.
I would say 8 ounces per person minimum -- without a bone that would be a 6 pound ham. Of course leftover ham is always a good thing so I dont' think you can buy too big of a ham.
Thnx TH!

Tree is correct, Pags.
Of course, in my case, you may wish to allow 12-16 ounces of Ham per serving. I'm something of a Piggy Meat addict!
BTW...What day and time do you want us to come by to consume said Pig?
Have a Happy Monday!
Krissy
Krissy, are you a piggy pig?
If Pags will just tell us the date and time, I'll be glad to help serve so no one over eats
That's affirmative, Tree!

I doubt that, Mammaw!
You did make me LOL though!
I would rather have way too much than not enough, especially if they are big eaters. There are only 6 of us at dinners, and we buy a whole big ham. That way, if there should be someone invited at the last minute, we have enough. Plus we all like leftovers, so we have plenty for that, too. I would get a big whole ham!
