"It is dangerous to be concerned with what others think of you." (Proverbs 29:25a GN)
When we worry about what other people think, we let them control us. We waste a lot of time and energy trying to figure out what other people want us to be and then trying to become like that.
Worrying about what other people think is dangerous, because we're more likely to cave in to criticism. It means we don't always do the right thing; instead, we do the thing that everybody wants us to do.
And we're in danger of missing God's best, because we're so worried about what other people want us to do that we can't stop to think about what God wants us to do.
Quit trying to please everybody! Remember that nobody can make you feel inferior unless you give him or her permission.
The Apostle Paul says, "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31b TEV) This means we can think like this: "God likes me, and I like me; if you don't like me, then you have a problem. If God likes me, the who cares that everybody doesn't approve of everything I do?"
Remember, nothing you ever do will make God love you less. Nothing you ever do will make God love you more. He loves you completely right now.
Talk About It
Who are you most concerned with impressing, winning the approval of, or pleasing?
The knowledge that "nothing you ever do will make God love you less" should bring peace to your life. How does your life reflect that kind of peace?

LOLing at Chris. You're just jealous of my early AM fabulousness!
Mom had the tour at the new place today. I haven't had a chance to talk to her yet because I had to leave there to take Tom to his appt, so will let you know when I know. Eish..... did that make any sense.
I won't be around till late aft or evening tomorrow. Have to leave here 7:30-ish in the morning and though the test itself only takes 15-45 minutes, there are 2 hours of pre-test stuff and then 2 hours before you can leave d/t the sedation. Pain in the toucas!
See you all tomorrow. (((((((((((group hug)))))))))))))))
Hmmmm "Rejection will not ruin your life." I needed to read that.
Praying for you tomorrow Randy.
My sister, Joyce, is afraid to go around her DGD, Ashlyn. She has convinced herself that her Parkinson's meds have caused Ashlyn's skull deformity. And she is sad that "Ashlyn lost her eye". Ashlyn's eye had to be removed in order to remove that part of her skull, but it was reattached after the surgery and seems to be fine. I hate what Alzheimer's does. She can't stay away from her grandchild!
I'm worn out. I'm going to climb into bed and watch some episodes of "The Middle.".
Hi Randy, praying for your test in the morning, also praying that your mom likes the new place. Hugs!
Hi deb, praying for your sister Joyce, I hate Alzheimers too it is a cruel disease. Hope you are getting some rest!
I need to go & check out the rest of yesterday's PC, will be praying as I read.
God bless y'all, Patty
Good Morning Everyone.
Randy, thank you for the lesson. I really needed that. Praying for you and Tom. Also praying for your mom.
Deb, prayers are being said for Joyce. I hate what Alzheimer's does to a person.
Patty, praying that you had a good night. Continued prayers for Pete.
I will breathe a prayer for each of you as you come to mind today.
God's blessings are so amazing! Do we really take time to consider all the wonderful things He does for us? We should never take His blessings and love for granted.
Hugs & Love to All,
Lu
Peeking in and praying!
Good morning! Busy day today. I'm going to the dentist and later we're getting together with Riane's parents to talk about wedding stuff. We've known them for ages, and we're both very happy to see our kids ending up together.
Praying for you and yours today.
Just a quick stop in today to gather requests. A couple of my kids are intent on earning 2nd computer turns (which means I can get them to do some chores - yay!) and tomorrow afternoon my nephew is coming for a sleepover, so I feel the need to get some things put away since he has, in the past, both broken things (pure carelessness, not on purpose) and tried to steal things He's only 6 (turns 7 Friday).
Praying for God to meet all your needs and to fill your hearts with joy and your minds with peace.
Love you all!

Hi, everyone.
Stopping in between our comings and goings. Didn't stay by IL DD as they kept her overnight. We headed north for Aunt Jo's funeral, some relative visiting and a few days at the trailer. Home for a couple of days and then tomorrow we're headed for DD's in IL to visit for several days. We had a busy week and it continues.
Praying for all in the PC.
