I've touched one, but I did not hold it. And it would definitely depend on what kind of snake it was, but I don't think it would bother me if he/she were the friendly type!

It's Not What You Gather, But What You Scatter That Tells What Kind Of Life You Have Lived!
Not in this lifetime. I can't even look at them. I am terrified of them. I've have meltdowns when I've come across them in public. We were at the Omaha Zoo some years ago walking though this building when suddenly, to my right, was a boa constrictor in a cage. I was frozen solid in place. Hyperventilating.
And that's not my only sad story.
Yes. In 8th grade, one of the boys found a black snake and brought it in to show. He wrapped it around my arm to try and get me to scream, it didn't work so he moved on to another girl who did scream. lol In AP biology, we had a snake and no one would hold it until I did one day. Our class picture in the yearbook, you'll see me holding him. Last year I had a little boy in my classroom that was fascinated by snakes. On our field trip, we went to a natural museum and they had snakes and lizards in one of the rooms. He just about peed his pants when he saw them. I asked him if he wanted to go see it, he said no. I let him see I wasn't afraid to touch it. I asked him if he wanted to touch it, he said no. Eventually he asked me if he could touch it. He loved it. It was a beautiful snake. I wish I could remember what kind it was. He was yellow and orange.
