Good afternoon y'all, are you having a good day yet? I got up later than I wanted to today but I did get out & did some errands, went to Wal-Mart for my meds & got some chicken tenders which they weren't, I don't think I will do that again.
Not quite as hot today but still in the lower 90's, I would love for a 65 degree day, that sounds delightful.
Yesterday we finished up shopping for DH so he can look great on the 1st day of work today. Now, I need to get myself some clothes & shoes.
For supper tonight I will be making what I didn't get to make last week:
Chicken fajitas with peppers & onions, sour cream & salsa
Cole slaw
Tortilla chips
Got a lot to do so I better go & make some headway.
Have a blessed day,
Patty
Good afternoon, my name is Rhonda, I am new around here :) So far I am having a good day, for a Monday. Your dinner sounds great, I am making some quick philly cheesesteak pizzas and a basic side salad with homemade country French vinaigrette.

good afternoon...12:03....lol
hit the grocery store and produce market this morning....got a great deal on cantaloupe....3 for a buck....I only bought 1 and some Italian pizzelle cookies, chocolate...I love those things and will turn some in Hungry Girls version of ice cream sandwiches...she usually uses chocolate graham crackers and fat-free whipped cream, squirt the whipped cream onto 1 of the crackers, top with second and place in a plastic dish with lid into the freezer....NO it's not anywhere near a real ice cream sandwich...but pretty tasty...and the pizzelle cookies are large, round and only about 30 calories each....so a light treat
all the groceries are put away...just finished lunch...the dish washer repairman is here early...woohoo...our GE Profile dishwasher was on the recall list...so they are replacing some part...thanks to fishergirl I saw that on facebook.....so because he is early we will go bowling again later...
then head to dinner....husband's choice tonight....so don't know yet what I will dine on...
enjoy your fajitas and tortilla chips...I love cole slaw but not with Mexican food...have a good day..
It's not how you start, it's how you end....so end strong!!
Walk yourself strong!!
Hi Rhonda, so nice to meet you, I hope you will come back everyday!! Mmmm, your Philly cheesesteak pizza sounds delicious, can you share a recipe for it? Hoping your day finishes out great too.
Hi Shelley, wow, 3 cantaloupes for $1, I love pizzelles, I have a pizzelle press & once in a while I will make some. I made some for some ladies around here & they put their noses up, oh well, in PA most people like them. I do like them with the anise flavoring, I need to try the chocolate. I bet the ice cream sandwiches will be better than the graham crackers. Enjoy your dinner out tonight.
Off to do more things around here.
Hi Patty, nice to meet you as well. The pizza recipe is actually in the most recent TOH magazine, I want to say on page 120? I will check for sure when I get home. Where in PA did you live? I grew up in Western PA and ate my fair share of pizelles :)
Shelley I am a fellow Arizonan, nice to meet you! You will have to comment as to where you ate, always looking for new places to try out here.
Hello all. Happy Monday. Tonight we are having sandwiches or taco salad...I'm going for the taco salad...it just sounds good.
It is always interesting to see what people plan for a menu. It is very regional. I love fajitas, but would never have coleslaw with them...it sound kind of odd to me. But...if it makes you happy...enjoy!
I don't like the anise flavor pizzelles...but the chocolate or vanilla are great....
we will be dining at Rosie's Italian Cafe....so I will most likely have a cup of their wonderful chicken noodle soup, which is just strange at a great Italian place...but it's what they do and do it well as they make their noodles...and then I will enjoy a side order of her meatballs....so good...and Rosie's is near my town, it's in Sun City West...and they cater to the older set...of which I am one now.....LOL
Well seeing as how I am in Scottsdale that is probably not an option for me :) Enjoy your soup, it all sounds great.
Scalloped potatoes and ham here....an old Taste of Home recipe I thought I'd try.

Rhonda, I am from Erie & sure do miss the lake, where in PA are you from?
Beachie, the taco salad sounds the best to me too. I didn't make the cole slaw, wasn't in the mood.
Shelley, enjoy your meal at Rosie's sounds good to me too, I love chicken noodle soup.
Sue, Yummm, I love scalloped potatoes with ham, can't turn the oven on yet so it will be a while. That crock looks similar to the one I had from my grandmother.
Gotta go DH just got home.

Hi Joan, your grilled hamburgers sound delish! Wow, I would love it in the 60's, enjoy the break while you can!
That ham and potato casserole looks awesome!
Patty I am from near Indiana PA but my sister now lives in Greenville PA, which is just a ways south of Erie.
It was the first time I'd made that recipe - it was really good! I used a boneless ham steak I picked up on-sale, yummy!
Rhonda, Lu on the prayer circle is not too far from Indiana.
Sue, glad to hear the potatoes & ham turned out well!
