RE: The Purple Ilk 12/02/04
good morning poll (and all) mojo to all in need and special thoughts for nikey on her operation today.
what kind of fritters are we talking about here? do you want something a little more exotic and fishy like salted cod or mussels (and my favorite conch), something fruity like apple or banana, something veggie like corn or how bout we just go to cafe du monde for a beignet?
all that talk of fritters has inspired me and i am off to grocery!

Good Morning! {{{{{{{{{Nikey}}}}}}}}}} I'll be thinking of you today and sending oodles of mojo your way.
Oh something I meant to tell you the other day and then I goofed and closed the whole window. Take a pillow or stuffed animal with you (or have dh bring it in for you. And when that mean old nurse makes you sit up and cough hug that stuffedie to your abdomen. It really helps.

"Mean Old Nurse" I take offense to that, LOL. She's right though, Nikey. If you hold a pillow tight to your tummy ... it won't hurt as much.

I remember when the nurse came in to do the tummy 'massage' after dd was born, I almost hit one of them lol I started doing it myself after the nurse left. It helped.

LOL yeah that "mean old nurse" will said there and say "Cough", you'll give a little "ahem" and in a little louder voice she'll say "cough". This will go on for about 15 minutes, each time she'll get louder and more authoratative about it till you satisactorily expell enough air and energy to fill a hot air balloon and you're positive that got sent attila the hun to torture you. ROFL!
