  • Can Chemo therapy effect your memory and make you forgetful?
I was wondering if any of you have had experience with this with loved ones?
    Thanks for your input.

My best friend has breast cancer and finished all her chemo over 7 months ago and still has problems with her memory. The chemo takes a long time to get out of your system and is so strong and effects people in many ways.

OK so do they eventually have a better memory or does each case vary and depend on the person?

it takes at least two years to recover from chemo, so it'll be awhile.

I am on a chemo pill and I have found I forget and can't remember a lot. Sometimes don't know if I was coming or going. At times it is very embarassing.
    Have a wonderful day.

Definitely yes. My Sis(Lung Cancer) has a terrible time remembering things and is very emotional at times, also. It is not a fun ride at all. :(

Remember what chemo is....a poison. It kills cancer cells but it also kill healthy cells because it doesn't differentiate.
