for a luncheon at DH's work? I need to make up a platter for sandwiches & would like some good ideas for something a little different, would just 2 different types of bread be enough? this is for about 8-9 people.
    Thanks!

Deviled eggs would make a nice addition.

Perhaps people would enjoy kaiser rolls, or asiago bread from Panera, and of course, some whole wheat.
I agree with akfishergirl on the meats-I think those three would cover a variety of tastes. Cheddar, or maybe colby, and some white like swiss or muenster.

When I make up a deli tray, I like to put some sliced hard salami along with ham and turkey and it always goes first. Colby jack cheese is generally the most popular, too.

Definetly roast beef, deli- ham, swiss cheese. Lettuce, sliced tomatoes, deli onions. Pickles, kieser rolls, rye bread. Throw a couple containers of macaroni salad, potato salad. Bag of chips. Celery sticks. carrot sticks. Mayo, mustard. Plastic knives, forks. paper dishes, napkins, salt, black pepper. Big sign saying,(Eat! Knock yourself out!)It sure sounds good to me if it were my luncheon! ---- Or you can go the route and throw 8 Oscar Mayer lunchables in a bag. A couple six packs, and call it a party.---The End!

Don't forget pickles, peperocinis, olives. Or even an olive tapanade would be good.

I would include lettuce, tomato, onion, sweet or hot peppers. But then...I usually don't eat meat.
