I have lots left over and can't possibly use it all. If I freeze it will it be OK? I really am not a ham lover and called a daughter to pick it up but that will be several days before she is able to do so.
Freeze it in serving size packages.

Math is fun!
I have kept as long as one year...It didn't kill me, but it wasn't as flavorful. You can keep it forever, as long as you don't eat it.
It will be fine frozen, but I'd wrap it in meal-sized packages. Once the packaging has been opened, it won't keep very long--maybe four or five days before it's rancid. And you'll be able to tell from the "fragrance" that it's no longer edible. If it's ham that you had for Easter dinner, best to get it into the freezer today.
