    Anyone can using the old canning jars with the hinged lid and rubber gasket?  I have two boxes of those jars.

    My MIL still cans in them some, I won't.  You can still buy rubbers for them.

    I have a few but have never used them to can.  I use them for decoration.  I have dried flowers and cinnamon sticks in them.

    Thanks for the laugh! I don't use that kind of jars either. But my DM did a few years ago, and she wanted some new rubbers. I had to laugh at this 80 year old lady who wanted rubbers! Good old mom. She is still canning, but not with that kind anymore. (Think she couldn't find any rubbers!)Big Smile
