  • HOW MAY CUPS ARE 600 GRAMS FLOUR ???????

I did a lot of research online but get many conflicting answers. Anywhere from 2 1/2 c. to 6 c.

Why should there be so much misinformation !!!!!!

Welcome to my world!  As a Californian now living in Australia I had to learn metric right quick and found it so hard I actually took a night school class in maths that included metric measurement.

I use this place myself when I can't figure it out, though....

The whole site is quite useful, IMHO.

I bet you can buy a nice scale that gives increments in lbs, ounces and also in grams, pound and kilograms for under $25.00.

You can also buy 1 liter measuring cups with increments in ml and also ounces.

Metric is simple, the US monetry system is metric (100 pennies = 1 dollar), everything is in 10, 100, 1000. (no such foolishness as 29/32").

I think it would be harder fo someone used to the metric system to convert to the English/US system.

I I can still see my husband (a carpenter) helping my German relatives remodel an old farmhouse when we were in Germany. He was measuring in yards/inches and my cousin's husband used the metric system. Both were using some uncouth language at times and I swear I could see steam coming out of their ears but they did get it done without getting into a big arguement.

I called my local county extension and they told me that there is 1 c. flour in150 grams. So the answer is 4 c. I am posting this so if anyone else has the same issue the answer is here.

Thank you all  for all your help.
