Everyone is flocking to the NJ shore to get relief in the ocean and also to celebrate the 4th. It will be a wisse thing to stay home and off the roads this weekend. The traffic is going to be bumper to bumper.
I love watching meteors. In the winter when the days are short I often see them early in the morning.

Good morning. Believe it or not. We are going for a ride down to the river. It's been way too hot and it will be for the next week. I have a hard time breathing out there so I have to do my stuff early in the morning.
Gary even went to the fabric store for me yesterday afternoon. Hard to beat that.

I don't plan to go anywhere today. DH is working. Plus the traffic will be a nightmare in our area this weekend and most of next week. Everyone will be flocking to the shore for the July 4th holiday and to get some relief from the heat. It is HOT here, but the inner cities are hotter. The beaches will be very crowded.
How well I recall warm summer nights, laying on a pallet in the backyard, watching metors streak across the dark sky.
No, the chickens did not cross the road, they took the car and drove down the road. They had a shell of a time, the exhaust cackling in the quiet summer air. These wannabe Foster Farms chickens were caught joyriding in this nice 1956 Corvette. Obviously their brains are scrambled.

Had a good day, so far. Took dad out for breakfast, then did our usual Saturday morning errands. Then we just had to stop for ice cream before we came home. I had Georgia Peach, so good!!
Praise God that we were spared of the severe storms that went through our area last night. The majority of the storms went around us. Sevaral places had a lot of damage and power outages. We did get some rain, but we really need more. The storms cooled the temps down some, but tomorrow the extreme hot and humid weather returns. As usual, Gracie shook like a leaf and panted like crazy during the storms.
Well, I should get off my butt, and get supper ready.

We had a severe storm roll through aroun 1am. The winds were really strong. Several houses down from us BIG tree fell across a driveway knocking down wires. The tree just missed the house and the car.
I heard the next county up had lots of power outages. They may be out for several days. There was a mad rush to buy ice.
