mushroom soup

RE: Choconut's Favorites
CINNAMON MUNCH
1/3 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
4 c. Corn or Rice Chex or
Crispix cereal or 3 c. Bran
or Wheat Chex cereal
Combine sugar and cinnamon; set aside. In large
skillet, melt butter over low heat. Add Chex. Heat and stir
gently until all pieces are coated. Continue to heat and stir
5 to 6 minutes. Sprinkle half the cinnamon-sugar mixture
evenly over cereal. Stir to bring unsugared pieces to top.
Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon-sugar. Heat and stir 1 minute
longer. Spread on absorbent paper to cool.
Microwave Instructions: Use a large glass baking pan, 9
x 12-inches or larger. Melt butter in microwave (1 minute,
then longer if needed). Stir in cereal, coating with butter
evenly. Microwave for 1 minute. Sprinkle half the sugar-cin-
namon mixture over the cereal, stirring to coat well. Micro-
wave for 1 minute. Sprinkle remaining sugar-cinnamon mixture
over cereal; stir well. Microwave for 1 minute. Stir well to
coat evenly, then microwave for 1 more minute. Allow to cool
and stir once again, then serve. (If you like your mix a
little crispier, you might wish to microwave one more time.)
CHOCOLATE FUDGE PIE
3 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1/3 c. butter
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Melt butter and chocolate squares together; let cool.
Beat eggs until thick and lemon color. Add sugar gradually;
then add nuts and vanilla. Add all mixture together and pour
into 9-inch pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes.

RE: Choconut's Favorites
TEXAS TATERS AND SAUSAGE
1/2 lb. sausage
2 grated potatoes
4 green onions, chopped
4 eggs
salt and pepper to taste
Picante sauce
In a medium Teflon skillet, brown 1/2 pound venison
sausage (or a little more, if you like) and 2 grated potatoes.
After browning, reduce heat and add 4 chopped green onions.
Saute, do not brown onions. Make 4 holes in the mixture.
Carefully break an egg in each one. Sprinkle salt and pepper
to taste and cover tightly. Let eggs steam slowly for 5 to 7
minutes. Lift lid for a quick peek and replace, if further
cooking is desired. May top with a little
Picante sauce. Serve with Texas toast. Serves 2 people.
CORN CASSEROLE
3 cans whole kernel corn, well
drained
1 can cream-style corn
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
4 Tbsp. milk
1 can mild green chilies,
chopped
salt and pepper to taste
Mix corn with softened cream cheese and milk. Add green
chilies. Salt and pepper to taste. Pour into 9 x 13-inch
casserole dish and bake in 325 degrees oven until corn bubbles.
Note: This will easily serve 12 people. For smaller
casserole, divide all ingredients in half and use one can
cream-style corn and one can whole kernel corn.
