HOW MANY TABLESPOONS (OR STICKS) DOES 2/3 CUP BUTTER EQUAL?

    HOW MANY TABLESPOONS (OR STICKS) DOES 2/3 CUP BUTTER EQUAL?
    I want to try a new cookie recipe, it calls for 2/3 cup butter or margarine.
    I've been baking for awhile, but I've never seen such an odd measurement for butter/margarine. How many sticks does 2/3 cup butter equal (or how many tablespoons does it equal?)

    Why not just squish it in a cup and measure out 2/3? (It would be roughly about 10 or 11 Tablespoons I think, but honestly I can't imagine being that exact precise in my baking).

    There are 16 tablespoons in one cup. I would say 10 - 11.

    Precisely it's 10-2/3 T. which would be 1 stick plus 2-2/3 T. My butter sticks have markings on that make measuring as easy as slicing with a knife.

    My chart says 2/3 cup = 11 Tablespoons

    1/16 cup = 1 Tablespoon or 3 teaspoons
    1/8 cup = 2 Tablespoons or 6 teaspoons
    1/4 cup = 4 Tablespoons or 12 teaspoons
    1/3 cup = 5 Tablespoons or 16 teaspoons
    1/2 cup = 6 Tablespoons or 24 teaspoons
    2/3 cup = 11 Tablespoons or 32 teaspoons
    3/4 cup = 12 Tablespoons or 36 teaspoons
    1 cup = 16 Tablespoons or 48 teaspoons
