Minute Steak in the Crock Pot.

1 1/2 lb. Minute Steaks (These are sometimes labeled cubed steaks.)

1 large onion cut in half, sliced thinly, separate into half moon slithers.

    3 1/2 C. water,divided

    1 packet brown gravy mix

    1 packet onion gravy mix

    1 packet Mushroom gravy mix

    Seasoned flour

    Oil for saute
In a disposable pie tin or paper plate make your season flour- use whatever YOU like. Heat the oil in a non stick skillet, dredge the Minute each Minute steak on each side until Golden brown. lay on paper toweling to drain. Meanwhile, peel and cut a large onion and half, slice thinly, and separate into half moon shaped slithers. To a 3 Quart Crock Pot or Slow Cooker add the browned minute steaks, onion, and 2 C. Water. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours. About an 45 minutes to an hour before serving combine the contents of the three gravy packets and the remaining cup and a half of water, wisk it all together, and pour over the Minute Steaks, Cover, turn up to high and allow to continue cooking until it's a gravy like consistancy.
Note: This recipe is really easy to reduce. I've made this using the entire pound and a half of minute steak called for,or as little as three minute steaks- still comes out perfectly!
