Has anyone made canned peaches rolled in crescent roll cobbler?
A friend said her dil made this last evening. I was wondering if any of you had made it
The recipe went something similiar to this:
canned sliced peaches, drained
1 stick of butter, melted
1 cup sugar, she used splenda
1 can of sprite
roll a couple of peach slices in a crescent roll and place in casserole
mix the melted butter, sugar and sprite and pour over the rolls and peaches and bake.
She didn't say how long it was baked or what degree oven.
If you have this recipe would you please share..
Thanks

Would fresh peaches work, too? This sounds similar to Apple Dumplings or Apple Dews.

I bumped up the thread for you about Peach Enchiladas - same dessert, different name. Yummy!
Subject: Recipe - Peach Enchiladas - Just like the Apple Dews, but with peaches - check out the picture

Peach Enchiladas
Created by Hettie Wilkerson*
2 8-ounce tubes refrigerator crescent rolls
2 sticks butter
4 firm ripe peaches, peeled and quartered
1 ½ cups sugar
1-teaspoon cinnamon
1 12-ounce Mountain Dew (or Sprite)**
_____________________
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Melt butter and add sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
Unroll crescents and place a peach quarter in each one. Roll from large end to small. (If desired, after rolling, encase peach with dough by gently stretching and pinching dough together over peach.)
Place rolled peach quarters in a 12x10x2-inch baking pan (or an 8x8-inch pan if making half the recipe). Pour or spoon butter mixture over all. Pour Mountain Dew on top.
Bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes.
Serve as is or with ice cream or whipped cream.
(This recipe can be easily halved.)
**Additions in parentheses are from me and are not part of Ms. Wilkerson’s original recipe.
*Hettie Wilkerson was the 2004 first-place winner or the McLeod Farms Peach Festival cooking contest and the State Farm Bureau peach contest.
