  • Popcorn Flour
Has anyone ever made this and baked anything with it??
Seen a bread recipe calling for popcorn flour.
Was curious. My popcorn wouldn't last long enough to become flour.

I grind popcorn for my cornmeal. So I guess when you are talking about popcorn flour it could be you are referring to cornmeal. I learned to do this at the Bosch store where they seem to grind everything from beans to wheat berries.

But do you grind the unpopped corn, or popped?

I've made popcorn bread before, and it was suprisingly quite good. Popcorn flour isn't really flour, it's just popcorn that has been pulverized in a food processor or blender.

You grind the unpopped corn just the same as you would grind wheat berries.
Usually you don't grind quite as fine since the unpopped corn kernel is so much larger than the wheat berry. The grinder I have is the NutriMill.
Now you have my curiosity - wonder what would happen if you put the popped corn in the food processor?

So, is it the popped corn you are pulverizing in the food processor or blender??
