REC: HAMBURGER MACARONI GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE
Hamburger Macaroni Green Bean Casserole
1 lb ground beef
1 med onion chopped
3 Tbsp flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 C milk
2 C shredded Cheddar cheese
8 oz cooked macaroni
1 jar or can of drained green beans
Brown beef and onions. Blend in flour, salt, and pepper. Add milk and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Add 1 1/2 C cheese. Stir until melted. Mix with macaroni and beans. Put into a casserole. Top with remaining cheese. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.

I copied this recipe, it is similar to one I used to make but this one sounds a lot better.
Now I know what to make for supper tomorrow night.

Sounds Great Casf! A real down to earth, stick to your ribs, homey type meal. Yummy! I'm going to try it the way you wrote it first, but I've been doing some thinking about the recipe and the second time I make it, I'm going to replace the milk and flour with cream of mushroom soup. I think that would be good too. What do you think?

John I think of cream of mushroom soup the same way I think of cream cheese. If it's in the recipe it's got to be good. I think the soup would be a great addition. Carol
