  • Can you freeze fudge?
I want to start some Christmas baking and was hoping to start with the fudge because I have all items on hand. Can I make, cut in pieces and remove from pan & freeze? Or should I make, wrap pan well and freeze in pan?
Any tips and knowledge from past experience would be apprecieted!!

    Thanks!

Did you freeze it in pieces and do you need to seperate each piece so it does not stick together?

    Thanks for your help!

I line my pans with butter foil, making sure I have foil overlapping on all four sides of the pan, score it for easier cutting later, put in the frig until it cools. Once it's cool, I use the overlapped foil to seal it in one big piece and off to the freezer it goes. It doesn't take much time to thaw when you want to serve it.

    Good luck!

Our fudge never lasts past my husband, but growing up my Mom ALWAYS froze her fudge for the holidays. Cut it up, place in Tupperware, and seperate layers with wax paper. (No need to wrap individual pieces.) You can flash freeze the pieces before putting in the Tupperware, too, but not necessary if the fudge is hardened. Have fun!
