All I have to say is awesome!!!

    Dreamsicle Mousse

    1 box sugar-free orange Jell-O
1 box sugar-free white chocolate instant pudding
    1 can mandarin oranges, drained
    1 (8 oz.) container fat-free cool whip

Dissolve Jell-O in 1 cup boiling water. Add 1 cup cold water and let
set for 5 minutes. Using electric mixer, beat dry pudding mix into
    Jell-O until well
blended. Fold in mandarin oranges and cool whip. Chill before
    serving.

Variations: add chopped pecans, use strawberry Jell-O and fresh or
frozen strawberries (thawed and drained), lime Jell-O and pineapple.

Can use regular, not sugar free for this recipe

    that's not the one.
It might also have instant vanilla pudding in it too but perhaps not.I am not real sure.
It was a popular one but it seems there are now so many different versions of it.
But thanks just the same. Perhaps someone else is looking for this one, so I am still looking.

I remember from the recipe you dissolve the orange jello in hot water, instead of just mixing the dry ingredients with the mandarin juice. Then just before it is completly set you add the other ingredients.
    thanks again.

I think this might be the recipe you are looking for. I have been making this for years and my family loves it & it does taste like a Dreamsicle.

    Orange Tapioca Salad

    3 cups water
1 (3 oz.) pkg. orange gelatin
1 (3.4 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding
1 (3 oz.) pkg. tapioca pudding
1 (15 oz.) can mandarin oranges, drained
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (8 oz.) carton frozen whipped topping, thawed

In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Whisk in gelatin and pudding mixes. Return to a boil, stirring constantly; boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and cool completely. Fold in oranges, pineapple and whipped topping. Spoon into serving bowl. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours. Makes 12 - 14 servings.

    Dreamsicle Salad

Here's one I found, but have never made.

    8 oz package Orange Jello
8 oz package Instant Vanilla Pudding
8 oz package LoFat Tapioca Pudding
    8 oz can crushed Pinapple
8 oz can Mandarin Oranges, drained
    8 oz Cool Whip
Boil three cups water and add jello and puddings. Whisk together and boil one minute.
Cool in refrigerator for 2 hours.
Add Pineapple and oranges, top with Cool Whip.

Strawberry jello and sugared strawberries can be substituted for the Mandarin oranges and orange jello.

Here is a recipe that is similar to the others posted. I have made this for years, and it is very good. I've never had a name for it,and have always called it "Orange Jello/Pudding"

This makes a very large amount, and can amounts can be cut in half.

2 pks orange jello (the smaller package)
4 pkgs vanilla Cook and Serve pudding (the
    smaller pkg) NOT instant
    4 1/2 cups hot water
    1-2 cans Mandarin oranges, drained
    12-16 oz ctr Cool Whip

In a large saucepan, combine the jello, pudding and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and becomes somewhat transparent. Chill overnight or for several hours. Beat in Cool Whip until well blended. Stir in mandarin oranges.

Notes: To make a lighter version of this, and for a smaller amount, I use the following amounts:

1 pkg orange jello (smaller package)
1 pkg vanilla Cook and Serve pudding (the larger
    package) NOT instant
    2 1/4 cups hot water
8 oz ctr Cool Whip Lite
    1 can mandarin oranges, drained

    Follow the directions above.

This can also be made using lime, cherry or strawberry jello. In that case, I would not include the mandarin oranges.

The one I use depends on how much you want to make. I usually make it for parties and it will make a half-sized aluminum pan full.

2 lg. cans pineapple chunks, drained
    3 cans mandarin oranges, drained
1 small jar maraschino cherries, drained and halved
    1 bag mini marshmallows
1 16 oz container of sour cream

Mix together and refrigerate overnight or 8 hours. You can adjust the proportions of fruit based on what you like best.

This is the recipe my Mom made years ago.

1 lg or 2 small orange jello
1- 20 oz can crushed pineapple drained (reserve juice)
    1 - 11oz can mandarin oranges drained
    1- 8 oz container coolwhip
Dissolve jello in 2 cups boiling water. Using reserved pineapple j add enough water to have 2 cups water and add to jello. partially gel this mixture (about 30 minutes). Put partially gelled jello in mixer and whilp. Foldin cool whip. Add oranges and pineapple. Put in serving bowl and set.

A caterer served this at a retreat last summer. She used 1 gallon can of tropical fruit, a gallon of pineapple chunks, a package of marshmallows, a package of coconut, and two small cartons of pina colada yogurt. She drained the fruits and mixed everything together. It was so simple yet so good, and could be doubled or tripled for a larger group. This amount served 40 of us.
