mrwilson (love that name!), you might want to consider starting a new post with the information in the subject that it's a Country Woman recipe you're looking for. There are several ladies here who have Country Woman magazines who will be happy to share this recipe with you!

Suggestion: ISO Pretzel Log Cabin recipe from Nov/Dec 1996 Country Woman.

    Hope that helps!

    Here's what you'll need:

10 Ounce Milk Carton, empty and rinsed out.
Brown Craft Paper or Paper Bag
    Stick Pretzels
    Oyster Crackers
    Spoon Size Shredded Wheat
Tacky Glue or Hot Melt Glue
    Acrylic Paint
Fold the top over on the milk carton and tape.
Wrap the milk carton in craft paper.
Glue pretzels around the outside like a log cabin.
Glue Oyster Crackers on the roof like shingles. Overlap them to look more real.
Glue four Spoon Size Shredded Wheats into a square for the chimney.
Paint the windows and door with black paint.
Paint the roof with a light coat of white paint to look like snow.
How about that? Instant log cabin all ready for your winter scene. You can make several of them into a small village.
