Butter Pecan Cake Mix Recipes

  • Butter Pecan Cake Mix Recipes
    This is the only recipe I have using Butter Pecan Cake Mix, actually I have made this using yellow cake mix and it is wonderful.


    Apple Cake Cobbler

    2 cans apple pie filling
    1 box dry butter pecan cake mix
    1/4 c brown sugar
    1/4 c pecans
    cinnamon to taste
    2 sticks butter

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large baking pan (9X13") layer the ingredients as follows:

    apple pie filling(spread evenly in bottom of dish)
    Sprinkle cinnamon to taste
    spread cake mix evenly over apple pie filling. Sprinkle with brown sugan and pecans. Cut butter into patties(cover entire top of cake)

    Bake in preheated oven for 50 min. Can top with Ice cream.

    BUTTERSCOTCH CARAMEL BARS

    1 package Betty Crocker SuperMoist butter pecan cake mix
    1/2 cup {1 stick} butter or margarine
    1 egg
    1 jar {12.5 ounces} caramel topping

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Stir together cake mix {dry}, margarine, and egg in large bowl, using fork. Press half of the mixture in bottom of an ungreased 13 by 9 by 2 inch pan. Bake 10 minutes. Pour topping over crust. Sprinkle with remaining cake mix mixture. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until light golden brown; cool completely. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows. 24 bars.
    Note: If you line the pan with parchment paper {grease pan with Crisco shortening before you put parchment paper in. It holds the paper down} it is easier to cut and remove bars. They don't stick to the paper like they do to the pan. THESE ARE ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. –Lovescooking

    Southern Praline Pecan Cake

    1 (18.25 ounce) package butter pecan cake mix
    1 (16 ounce) container coconut pecan frosting
    4 eggs
    3/4 cup vegetable oil
    1 cup water
    1 cup chopped pecans

    1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a 9 or 10 inch Bundt pan with non-stick cooking spray.
    2 Combine the cake mix with the frosting, eggs, oil, water and 1/2 of the pecan pieces. Mix until combined.
    3 Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 of pecans in the prepared Bundt pan then pour in the cake batter.
    4 Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

    Makes 1 -10 IN BUNDT CAKE

    BUTTER PECAN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

    1 pkg. butter pecan cake mix
    1/2 c. softened butter or margarine
    1 t. vanilla extract
    2 eggs
    1 c. semisweet chocolate chips
    1/2 c. chopped pecans

    Combine half the cake mix, butter, vanilla and eggs in mixer bowl, beating until smooth. Stir in remaining cake mix, chocolate chips and pecans. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes; centers will be soft. Cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes; remove to wire rack to cool completely.

    Butter Pecan Coconut Bundt Cake

    1 box butter pecan or yellow cake mix
    3/4 cup vegetable oil
    1 cup water
    1 can pecan coconut frosting
    4 eggs, beaten well
    3/4 cup broken or chopped pecans

    Spray Bundt pan and sprinkle a few chopped pecans on bottom of pan. Mix remaining ingredients for 2 minutes and pour into greased Bundt pan. Bake at 325 degrees F for 50 to 60 minutes.

    Serve warm with ice cream.

    BUTTER PECAN MALLOW BARS

    1 (18.25 ounce) box butter pecan cake mix
    1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
    1/4 cup water
    2 cups miniature marshmallows
    3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
    1/2 cup coconut flakes

    Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix cake mix, butter or margarine and water until blended. Press into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes.

    Layer marshmallows, chocolate chips, and coconut over crust. Bake for 2 to 3 minutes or until marshmallows begin to melt. Cool. Cut into bars.

    Makes 24 pieces

    4 large eggs
    1 cup oil
    1 cup hot water
    DirectionsMix all together. Beat 2 minutes. Bake in well-greased or sprayed

    Butter Pecan Cake with Butterscotch Glaze
    Cake Mix Doctor

    1 package (18 ounces) butter pecan cake mix with pudding
    1 package (3.4 ounces) instant butterscotch pudding mix
    4 large eggs
    1 cup sour cream
    1/2 cup vegetable oil
    1/2 cup water
    1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

    Butterscotch Glaze:
    1/4 cup milk
    4 tablespoons butter
    1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
    1 cup butterscotch chips

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and place a rack in the center of the oven. Generously grease a 12-cup Bundt pan with solid vegetable shortening, and dust the pan with flour. Shake out the excess flour. Set the pan aside.

    2. Place the cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, sour cream, oil, water and pecans in a large mixing bowl. Blend on low speed for 30 seconds. Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Increase the mixer speed to medium, and continue blending until the batter is thick and well combined, 2 minutes more. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and place the pan in the oven.

    3. Bake the cake until the batter begins to pull away from the sides of the pan, and the top is deep brown, 60 to 65 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven, and let it cool on a wire rack for 20 minutes. Run a sharp knife around the edges of the cake, shake the pan to loosen the cake, then invert it onto a plate to complete cooling.

    4. For the glaze, place the milk and butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring. Remove the pan from the heat and whisk in the sugar. Add the butterscotch chips. Stir with a wooden spoon until the chips have melted. If all the chips do not melt, pour the glaze through a fine sieve before spooning it over the cooled cake. Spoon the glaze over the cake, let the glaze set 15 minutes, then slice and serve.

    Butter Pecan Coconut Poppy Seed Coffee Cake

    1 box Betty Crocker Butter Pecan Coffee Cake
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. instant coconut pudding mix
    1 cup hot water
    1/2 cup oil
    4 eggs
    1/3 cup poppy seed

    Mix all together and beat well. Place mixture in prepared bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until done. Great coffee cake!!!
