  • Need help with steaming cabbage in the microwave
I know I have seen it on here before, and must not have paid close enough attention.... but can someone please tell me how to do cabbage in the microwave for stuffed cabbage rolls? Do I cut the core out too? How long do I do it? The whole head at one time or do I take the leaves off individually? I don't feel like taking the time to kettle steam it on the stove. Making them tonight, so a quick response would be helpful. Thanks!

    Hi,
Cut out the core of the cabbage, Put the head in a microwavable bowl, and cook on high for 15 minutes, The leaves will come apart for the cabbage rolls,
    Enjoy!!! Ada

Thank you sooo much for your help? Do you add water to the bowl?

Yes, you put a container with about 1/2 cup of water in the corner while the microwave is on. Remove the outer leaves as they soften.
