Sorry arizona, this one isn't T&T, but is from the Pillsbury site and a bake off finalist:

    Simply Super Crescent Cinnamon Rolls

Makes: 8 large rolls Nutrition Information

Cinnamon, brown sugar and pecans combine in a cinnamon roll made easy with Pillsbury® crescents.

    Filling
    2/3 cup finely chopped pecans
    1/3 cup packed brown sugar
    1/3 cup powdered sugar
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/4 cup butter, softened
    Rolls
2 cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
    Glaze
    1 cup powdered sugar
    1 tablespoon butter, softened
    2 to 3 tablespoons milk

1 . Heat oven to 375°F. Grease 13x9-inch pan. In small bowl, mix all Filling ingredients.
2 . Unroll 1 can of the dough into 1 large rectangle; press into 13x7-inch rectangle, firmly pressing perforations to seal. Spread filling over rectangle.
3 . Unroll second can of dough; press into 13x7-inch rectangle, firmly pressing perforations to seal. Place over filling; press dough onto filling. Cut stacked dough into 8 (13-inch) strips. Twist each strip 5 or 6 times, pressing extra filling into rolls. Shape each into a coil; place in pan.
4 . Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately remove from pan; place on wire rack.
5 . In small bowl, blend all Glaze ingredients, adding enough milk for desired drizzling consistency; drizzle over warm rolls. Serve warm.

    Mini Cinnamon Crescents
Prep Time: 20 min ; Start to Finish: 45 min
    Makes: 20 rolls Nutrition Information

Bake up a batch of warm, tender cinnamon rolls! It's easy when you start with refrigerated crescent rolls.

1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
    4 teaspoons granulated sugar
    2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
    1/2 cup raisins
    1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon apple juice or milk

1 . Heat oven to 375°F. Separate dough into 4 rectangles; firmly press perforations to seal. Spread 1 tablespoon butter evenly over each dough rectangle. In small bowl, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon; mix well. Sprinkle evenly over rectangles. Sprinkle each with raisins.
2 . Starting with short side of each rectangle, roll up; pinch edges to seal. With serrated knife, cut each roll into 5 slices. Place slices, cut side down, in ungreased 8- or 9-inch square pan.
3 . Bake 17 to 23 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes.
4 . Meanwhile, in small bowl, mix powdered sugar and apple juice until smooth. Drizzle icing over rolls. Serve warm.

I have a really good recipe but it calls for breadsticks instead of french bread, maybe you could just roll out the bread and use it like that. Anyway, here it is:

    CARAMEL APPLE BREAKFAST ROLLS

½ cup packed dark or light brown sugar
    ½ cup whipping (heavy) cream
    ¼ cup chopped pecans
1 can (11 oz.) refrigerated breadsticks
    1/3 cup cinnamon-flavored applesauce (or add cinnamon to regular a applesauce}

    Heat oven to 350°.
Mix brown sugar and whipping cream in ungreased round pan 8 x 1 x ½ inches, sprinkle with pecans.
Unroll breadstick dough but DO NOT separate into breadsticks. Spread applesauce over dough. Roll up dough from short end; separate at perforations. Place coiled dough into pan.
Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute. Invert pan onto heatproof tray or serving plate. Let stand 1 minute so caramel will drizzle over rolls.

Arizonacook, I'm sorry, I should put on my glasses, you said french bread, not crescents!

Will see what else I had, think there was a Pampered chef version that used french bread.

I saw this on Food Network, haven't tried them yet. Let me know what you think.

    Cinnamon Latte Rolls

2 packages crusty loaf French bread dough
    1/4 cup butter, softened
    1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    2 teaspoons instant coffee

    For icing:
    1 stick butter, softened
    3 cups sifted powdered sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/4 cup milk
4 teaspoons instant cappuccino-flavored coffee mix

Remove dough from canisters, fold each roll of dough in half and wrap together loosely with plastic wrap. Place wrapped dough in the refrigerator and let rest at least 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease 2 (8-inch) cake pans.

In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and instant coffee. Set aside. On a lightly floured surface, place 1 piece of the folded dough on top of the other piece of dough and flatten. Roll dough into an 8 by 14-inch rectangle. Spread softened butter over surface of dough and sprinkle with the sugar-cinnamon-coffee mixture. Starting with the long edge, roll dough like a jelly roll. Cut into 12 pieces and divide between the 2 prepared cake pans. Bake 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool 10 minutes before spreading with icing.

For icing: In a medium mixing bowl with a handheld mixer, beat together softened butter and sifted powdered sugar adding the sugar 1 cup at a time. Beat until light and fluffy. Add remaining ingredients and beat until combined. Spread or drizzle over cooled rolls.

Yield's 1 dozen rolls and 2 cups icing
