  • I need a really simple recipe for cocktail weenies.

I bought 2 pkgs. of the little weenies yesterday and I need to take them to work tomorrow in the crockpot.

I have some ketsup but not much, a bottle of BBQ sauce, grape jelly and brown sugar. What would I need for just 2 pkgs of the weenies???

    Thanks in advance, Paulette

    SWEET N SOUR COCKTAIL FRANKS

(this is neither too sweet nor too mustardy. It is truly Sweet and Sour)

In medium saucepan, mix 1/2 c. jelly (preferably currant) with 1/2 c. brown mustard, 2 T. finely minced onion, and 1 T. worcestershire sauce. Bring to boil.

Put 1 lb cocktail weenies in crockpot. Pour hot sauce sweet and sour sauce over. Cover. Maintain crock pot temp on lowest until ready to use, up to one hour.

Can be refrigerated until an hour before using

    Crockpot Little Smokies Recipe

Just three ingredients makes this Crockpot Little Smokies recipe a snap to make. Serve them as appetizers or party favors while leaving the crockpot on low heat throughout serving.

     2 packages cocktail wieners

    1 medium bottle chili sauce

     1 medium jar grape jelly

    1. Add wieners, chili sauce and grape jelly to crockpot.

    2. Cover; cook on low 6-8 hours.

No current jelly, not beer and no Texas Pete either, lol!!

I'll get these made somehow even if I have to experiment! I just won't tell the women at work that they're eating an experiment! lol!

Thanks so much for all the different recipes too. I've printed them all for the next time when I'll be more prepared.

The bottle I have says Heinz Chili Sauce 12 oz, you get it in the ketchup aisle. I find it next to the cocktail sauce. On the back of the bottle is the recipe for cocktail meatballs. You know I don't know what else this is used for?
