    Shrimp Toast Cups--With Picture

    24 slices white bread,crusts removed
    1 cup butter,melted
    2 pkgs.(8 oz.each) cream cheese,softened
    1/2 cup mayonaise
    3 tbsp.sour cream
    3 tbsp.prepared horseradish
    3 cans(6 oz.each) small shrimp,rinsed and drained
    16 green onions,sliced
    Fresh dill sprigs,optional

    Flatten bread with a rolling pin,cut each slice into four pieces.Place butter in a shallow dish,dip both sides of bread in butter,press into minature muffin cups.Bake at 325 degrees for 14 minutes or until golden brown.Remove from pans to wire racks to cool.


    In a large bowl,beat the cream cheese,mayonnaise,sour cream and horseradish until blended.Just before serving,stir in shrimp and 0nions,spoon into cups,Garnish with dill if desired.Refrigerate leftovers.

    My Mom sometimes made these cute little cups for Creamed Tuna or chicken. I always enjoyed them.

    I would love to serve these over some lettuce as a starter for a meal I am planning. They sound so delicious especially because we love shrimp and I was wondering if there was any reason why they couldn't be put back in the oven after filling the cups just to warm up a little. What are your thoughts on this. Thanks
