Some time ago, there was a thread for Sloppy Joes on this site.  I KNEW I had this recipe that fit into the discussion~ but I could not find it.  Well I just now came across it and am posting it just for historical interest.

Roseanne and Tom Arnold had a restaurant in Iowa, I believe, that served loose meat.  At the same time, Roseanne's character on her TV show ran a loose meat restaurant.  Tom Arnold, her husband at the time, was on a morning talk show and this is how he described making loose meat sandwiches.

ROSEANNE ARNOLD'S LOOSE MEAT SANDWICHES

Hamburger meat (not lean ~ 80% has the most flavor)
Garlic salt, to taste
Salt and pepper, to taste
Hamburger buns
Garnishes:
     Pickles
     Ketchup
     Mustard
Liquid cheese (the kind that squirts out of the bottle like ketchup)

Pan-fry the meat, breaking up large pieces, until the meat is cooked.  Season with garlic salt, salt and pepper.

Use an ice cream scoop to to scoop up some meat and plop it on a hamburger bun.  Tom Arnold said the fat in the meat holds the meat together!  Serve with pickles, ketchup, mustard, and liquid cheese.

(My note:  Could you call these Sloppy Roseannes?!?) :o)
