I have a family reunion in a couple of weeks and wondered if anyone had something interesting to share that I can bring. We always have the usual; pot. and mac. salad, chicken, fresh veg from everybody's garden etc... Thanks!!!
My family loves this recipe and I'm always asked to bring it to all of our family gatherings. My nieces always fight over the leftovers (if there are any and it makes a huge bowl!).
Pasta Broccoli Salad2 bundles of broccoli, cut into very small pieces1 16 oz. pkg. shredded mozzarella cheese1 medium red onion, finely chopped (I usually omit as it seems to overpower)1 lb. bacon, cubed, fried crisp & drained1 large pkg. tri-colored pasta spirals, cooked & drained1 green pepper, chopped1 red pepper, chopped1 yellow pepper, choppedDressing:1 quart mayonnaise (NOT Miracle Whip)1/2 quart sugar4-5 Tbl. cider vinegar1 Tbl. Beau Monde (can omit)pepper to tastePour dressing over mixed salad. Mix together. Refrigerate. Best if made the day before you plan on serving it.
What is the amount of sugar in the dressing?
Don't gasp.... 1/2 quart equals 2 cups.
I don't quite use 2 whole cups, but probably pretty close.

This is a recipe I got from this board. I don't remember who posted it, but it is delicious. I have served it twice to groups of over 50 and was asked for the recipe repeatedly. For 40 t0 50 ladies, I doubled the recipe. Notes in parentheses are my tweaks.
