  • Do Seedless Grapes Ripen Futher After Being Picked?

I bought seedless grapes to use in Grape Salad.  They were so sour that I couldn't use them.

Will they ripen more now?  Or will they remain sour?

    TIA,

No, they do not.  I wentto Ask.com and posed the question and it said no.

Thanks for the information.  I had a feeling that was going to be the answer.  They are just as sour as they were when I bought them on Friday.  I never had seedless grapes so sour.

I replied early this afternoon but just saw that the post never went through.  Sorry.

    Thanks again for the info.

You might try taking them back to the store you purchased them from and complain. Many stores are very good that way. The other thing you could do is blend them into smoothies with something like pineapple juice concentrate and banansa to help sweeten up the drink.  Last thing would be to cut them in half and toss them with sugar.

I found my receipt and will return them to the store.  They are very good about things like this.  Thanks for all the information.

     Jan,

I'm glad you found your receipt. I bought a pound of strawberries and by the next morning half were moldy. I exchanged them without a problem.

    Good luck!
