I made a coleslaw  dressing which consists of the following:

    1/2 cup vegetable oil

    1/2 cup white vinegar

    1 1/2 tsp celery seed

    1 1/2 tsp mustard seed

    1 tsp salt

    1/2 cup sugar

You place all  ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cool and store in the refrigerator in a jar. It says it will last for a long time. Does anyone know how long a long time is. I thought someone told me once it would last for 2-3  weeks.  Anyone know

As long as it is refrigeratored, it should be okay.  You may have to stir it before using again.

A long long time as there is nothing to spoil in it other than the oil going rancid

This is one of my favorite websites. I use it to find information on all sorts of stuff. It is so handy, and has saved me a lot of money from throwing things away that didn't need to be thrown away.
