Sue,  I hope Rocky is not sending out invites  for the winter.  I think an exterminator is in order! Darn thing sounded like he was drilling  again .  lol

Those cup cakes  sound wonderful.

Fish is on our menu for tonight.

I like reading the Farmers Alamac each year. That little booklet is jamed with much information.

Boy I'd love to bake something today, but after yesterdays  spluge No way ~  Lordy was that cake rich !

Where's the rest of Recipeeps?  Everyone is hiding these days!

We're back. We've been out and about and it seems like half of the time we were gone, we were sitting in traffic due to construction (Ugh!). Anyway, DH is a happy camper. He found an academic planner that starts now and goes through 2013. Ate lunch while we were out and ran some other errands. It is soooo good to be home.

Dinner tonight is leftovers from lunch and then I go on to a meeting.

I was a good mama and went up to watch Lil Man practice, just in time to rained on!  Not just any rain mind you - sideways, wind driven rain.  I had my rain coat and mud boots and umbrella but from the bottom of my coat to the top of my boots - I'm SOAKED!

It's down to 60º too!

Storms  all around us last night.  Not too bad in our area.  Mostly rain. Temps  quickly dropped.  Brisk but pleasant today.

Not much on the menu or Plate. Guess I will  root through the freezer. Ya never know I may find a hidden treasure for tonights  dinner.

Last nights  fish was excellant. We had both Salmon and  Cod and homemade stewed tomatoes. 

Need to get my creative thinking cap on.

Lil Man voted for pasta tonight.  I've seen a few different recipes for a chicken parm pasta casserole.  I like the idea and I like bits & pieces of several recipes but there wasn't one that tripped my trigger so I'll put my own spin on it tonight.  I think I've got it sorted out in my mind (I hope, LOL).

Hi, Sue and Janie and all to follow. It is just plain cold here - 54 when I got up. I do have all the windows open as the house is so stuffy and the cool air feels good. It's a little cold just to stand outside, though. However, unlike you, Sue, our afternoon will get up to mid-80s. So warm weather will return. At least our 100º days are over.

DH is golfing this morning and I am working around the house. Dinner tonight??? I saw a TOH recipe for Chili Mac recently and I may fix that. I have some ground beef I need to use.

Morning Peeps!

41º here this morning, there was actually a light frost in spots when I took the dog out this morning.

I'm hoping for a much calmer day today.  You can read about my experience at the vets office here.  What a freaking day!  Fortunately he's doing very well.  He doesn't even seem a bit jumpy.  I think I'd be uneasy!

Molasses Ginger Cookies on the agenda today - I'm needing a little something, LOL.

Hi, Sue (a day late and a dollar short - LOL). Here it is Friday already. I have taken a leave of absence from my volunteering for a while. Today, we are working in the garage - but DH is doing most of it.

Another beautiful morning but it will become summer by late afternoon - almost to 100. However, we have a cold front on it's way so tomorrow should only be 80.

We are eating out tonight and then going to see a show. It is Patsy Cline songs I guess sung by an impersonator. Hope it's good.

Sue, what did you end up making yesterday - molasses cookies or PB&J bars? Don't keep us in suspense.

Ga Peeps,

Just a quick fly through.  I want to get started on a few appys  for tonight.  Our so and dil will be down.  Spaghetti and Meatballs with Sausage is on the main menu.

Going to make another batch of the bang bang shrimp and a few  spinach squares.  

Its  a beauiful day out. Tomorrow it will hit 85 or so.  That could be  just about the last of the 80's  till next year. 

Squirrel traps all set. Exterminater set 3 of them with  !!!!!!! Peanut Butter! maybe they will like their brand better??

Once they are caught hey have to be take 5 miles away from where they were captured ! Imagine that.

females can have 3-8 babies.  Twice a year ! This is probably batch #2. 

Sue, How is King doing.  What a horrible story and expierence. Poor thing.  I can't imgine.  I remember several years  ago when our other Golden Devon was attacked by a Coyette.  That thing riped her side open . Thank god for the emergency surgery that she had.  It really saved her life.

Hey there Joan!  PB & J bars ended up being the decision and I can't decide if I like them or not.  They're pretty sweet and the dough was pretty soft, might need to make some adjustments.

I think it's good that you take a break, you've been so dedicated.

Janie he seems fine.  I suspected he'd be jumpy and he's not.  His wounds are healing well and once they were cleaned up they ended up small, which is good.  Had my husband not been there it would have been much worse.

Hey!  I found a book for Janie.. <running now>
