Bang, Bang Shrimp?? I shouldn't have to say a word. But I will ! Maybe two or three. Simply because this recipe "Sreams" I am a winner !
This is one of Bonefish Grills favorite appetizer. ( based on my observation) And it was that observation that made me wonder. What's that appetizer?
Great choice and we should have ordered 2. Yikes the plate broke the speed barrier as we all seemed to be in the attack mode ! My appy and I got the last one ! So when I landed this clone I was a very happy camper.
Its supposed to be the closest if not The Recipe Itself ~ And after eating the real thing I have to agree with many reviewers that this is the Real Deal.
It uses very simple ingredients and is a cinch to make.. I made up the sauce earlier in the day. So by the time the shrimp was added it was Perfect. This is one that you really want to serve at once.
The sauce is a nice mixture of sweet, hot and spicy. So much taste from such a short list of ingredients. 3 to be exact. And all are easily available in the supermarkets. The process is short as well. I threw some flour into a plastic bag, added some cornstartch ( ) and some cracked pepper. Shook to mix. Threw the cleaned and peeled shrimp into a egg"White" wash ( No yolk) tossed to coat. Then into the bag containing the flour mixture. Shake to Lightly Coat,, then right into a hot pan coated with Olive oil. Stir fy quickly. Add some of the sauce.
It will thin out and once it hits the hot shrimp. No need to toss. Add the remaining sauce right on top of the hot shrimp. Top with some chopped scallions. Yum O ~ Janie
* I can see where a combination of both shrimp and Lobster would be awesome !
