How can I dress up my steamed broccoli?
We eat broccoli often but when we order it at the restaurants, it always has a different flavor - like a buttery lemon flaor. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kim

Kim -- this is something we like :)
Lemon-Garlic Steamed Broccoli
24 ounces broccoli flowerets
2 cloves garlic -- minced
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
salt -- to taste
Steam broccoli till tender but firm, 4-6 minutes. Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat, add the garlic and saute one minute. Add the cooked broccoli, lemon juice and salt to taste, cooking briefly to combine. (can top with cheese if you like :)

RE: How can I dress up my steamed broccoli?
I like to season my broccoli with lemon pepper, salt, butter and a little cider vinegar. As soon as the broccoli is done, I put it in a dish, season it and put on a tight lid. Leave it just a few minutes and then serve. I don't know what the vinegar does, but the broccoli tastes just a little sweeter. It's strange but give it a try.

I toss 'em in a little olive oil just to coat and then throw 'em in bread crumbs.
