Horderves. & Party Picks for the Holidays
I know we have an appitizer BB but I thought it would be nice to have our own on this BB.
These are some very simple ones and take very litle time to make.
One of my favorites that my wife likes is:
1 pound package of sliced ham
1 jar of perminto stuffed olives
1 can chunk pineapple
1 box of toothpicks
Cut the ham in quarters, fold quarter twice put on toothpick.
Next put a chuck of pineapple
Next put a stuffed olive
These combination of flavors just explode on your taste buds.
I got this next one from a Japanese lady in Okinawa.
1 1 pound package of sliced ham
2 cucumbers
1 box of toothpicks
Cut the ham in quarters
You can peel or not peel the cucumber depending what kind of cucumber you use. I just run a fork length wise down the cucumber to make it a little decrative.
Cut the cucumber in half length wise and slice.
Now put one end of the ham on a toothpick, put 1/2 slice of cucumber on toothpick, fold other end of ham over cucumber and put on toothpick.

Devils on Horseback
1/2 lb. pitted prunes
about 3/4 cup whole, unblanched almonds
about 10 bacon slices
hot mango chutney
Stuff each prune with an almond. Cut each bacon slice in pieces just long enough to wrap around a prune and overlap slightly. Secure bacon around prune with a wooden toothpick.
Preheat broiler. Arrange bacon-wrapped prunes in a shallow pan and broil until bacon is crisp. Or, preheat oven to 400 degrees and bake 10 to 15 minutes, until crisp. Serve with chutney for dipping. Makes 20 to 25.
