I believe a package is 2½ teaspoons or thereabouts. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I think it should day on the jar what it is equivalent to.

Well I hate to add a different answer to your question, but it is 2 1/4 teaspoons of yeast per package.

Wonder if it varies by brand? I use from huge bags and always but in 3/4 tablespoons for each package called for.

I buy yeast in the larger size instead of packages and I always use 2 1/4 tsp. when 1 packet of yeast is called for and have never had a problem.

He baked Raisin Bread & it's really good!
I think he went with the 2½ t measurement. It's best for me to stay out of the way when he's cooking.
THANKS everyone for your quick help!
