  • Can you make dumplings without milk?
I have a lamb stew cooking but am out of milk and powdered milk. I am a bit underweather and don't want to trek to the store.

What I did when this happened to me, was to use 1 egg and enough water to make a stiff dough. It worked great.Good Luck! Tammy

I am probably too late for you today, but did you know that you can use some of the broth that you cook your meat in instead of the milk? Just take it out and cool a bit and use it just like it was milk. Works good for chicken & dumplings. That's how I do mine. This may help you to know for later if you are ever out of milk again.
