    Sorry it took me so long-I was researching some info on Randy Jackson from Idol (he's a judge)-he was with the rock group Journey in the 80's and was trying to find some pics of him-and I did-I knew it had to be out there somewhere!

    I didn't know Randy Jackson was from Journey! My husband and I have a couple of their albums. And yes, I did say albums and not CDs. My husband is a huge collector of classic rock, both albums and 45's. Of course we also have a huge collections of CDs, too..Sue

    My DB has a collection of albums, 8 tracks and cassettes. He was mgr of a music store for years and has not gotten rid of a single thing! He has tons of those stand-ups too-those life-size figures they put by the doorways to advertise stuff. he's a packrat, big-time!!

    I'm just referring to the recipe board, instead of this thread. I don't know all the technical lingo, so that's probably not the right term. I'm still new to this as this is the first and only board I have ever visited. I am extremely computer illiterate, and had never even ventured on to the internet by myself until just over a month ago when I worked up the courage to come to the TOH board in search of a lost recipe...Sue

    I was so proud of myself earlier b/c I actually found a recipe for someone who was looking for it! I felt so helpful--it was nice to return the favor b/c everyone has been so helpful to me here.

    I know what you mean. I've helped a couple of people find recipes. It does feel good to return the favor. I even helped a gal choose the name of her unborn son. I thought that was kind of exciting, too.

    ok-I'm kinda confused about all this myself...b/c I don't understand how people who are not AOL can IM with people who aren't-I do it but they set it up , not me. And supposedly I could sign up with say like Yahoo or something and IM with someone on Yahoo. I don't get this stuff yet-I'm lucky I can even IM on AOL!! And you know all those kids of today-they know how to do it all. My DS classroom is hooked to the internet-they're on Yahooligans, which is a kid info site. THere's all kinds of sites that the kids can learn on with math games, spelling games, etc. It's a station they rotate to during reading. Amazing how things have changed! I remember back in the early 80's when i was in jr high, we were watching a filmstrip (not a video!) on computers and they showed this woman in her kitchen and they said "someday in the future, you will be able to order your groceries off a computer!" And I thought "yeah, right" Now I'm talking to people in WA!!
